Sharing Tasks, Function Calls, and Recordings with Links

rtrvr.ai allows you to easily share and discover your executed tasks, defined function calls, and DOM recordings with others by generating secure, shareable links and through rtrvr.ai/exchange. This feature is perfect for collaboration, troubleshooting, or simply showcasing your automation workflows.

Understanding Shareable Links

Shareable Content

You can generate shareable links for:

  • Executed Tasks: Share the complete JSON representation of a task execution, including inputs, actions, and outputs.
  • Function Call Definitions: Share your custom function call definitions in JSON format.
  • DOM Recordings: Share recordings of your browser interactions as JSON data.

Link Security

  • Unpredictable Links: Shareable links are generated with unguessable, random strings, ensuring that they are not publicly discoverable or crawlable.
  • Access with Link: Anyone who possesses the link can view the shared JSON data. Exercise caution when sharing links containing sensitive information.

Link Management Panels

You can manage your shareable links within the History and Functions panels in rtrvr.ai. These panels provide functionalities to:

  • Create Links: Generate new shareable links for tasks, function calls, and recordings.
  • View Links: See a list of all links you have created.
  • Delete Links: Revoke access by deleting previously generated links.
  • Import via Links: Import shared tasks, function calls, or recordings using links.

Importing Links

rtrvr.ai offers multiple convenient ways to import shared content using links:

  • "Add to List" Icon: In both the History and Functions panels, click the (Add) icon to open an input field. Paste one or multiple links, separated by space or enter, and rtrvr.ai will import the associated content.
  • Dropdown Link Input: For tasks and recordings, you can also paste shareable links directly into the dropdown menus labeled "Select Previous Task" and "Select Recording Name" respectively. rtrvr.ai will recognize and import the content from the provided link.

Ownership and Control

Your Artifacts, Your Control: You are the sole owner and manager of the artifacts you create and share. Only you have the ability to create, view, and delete links associated with your rtrvr.ai directory, and manage the artifacts you have shared.

  • Use Temporary Links: For sensitive data, consider creating temporary links that you can delete after a specific period or when they're no longer needed.
  • Combine with Other Security Measures: For highly sensitive information, consider using additional security measures like password protection or encryption before sharing the link.
  • Regularly Review and Clean Up: Periodically review your shared links and delete those that are no longer necessary to maintain good security hygiene.
  • Provide Context: When sharing a link, include a brief description of what the shared content represents and how it should be used.
  • Organize Your Links: Use a naming convention or tagging system to keep track of what each link represents.
  • Test Before Sharing: Always test your shareable links to ensure they contain the correct information before distributing them.
  • Update Collaborators: If you make changes to a shared workflow, inform your collaborators and provide them with the updated link.
  • Explore rtrvr.ai/exchange: Regularly check rtrvr.ai/exchange for new and useful artifacts.
