One platform, three places it runs

The deal is the whole platform, not a single tool. You describe the outcome once; where it runs is your choice.

Describe the task
Plain English, no code
Runs in browser, cloud, or on your site
Same agent, same credits
Lands in your Google Sheet
Your Drive, your data

Extension

Runs in your real browser

  • Uses the sessions you're already logged into
  • Nothing headless, nothing to detect
  • Best for LinkedIn, portals, and walled gardens

Cloud

Runs while your laptop is closed

  • Scheduled runs, parallel browsers, thousands of URLs
  • API, MCP server, and WhatsApp triggers
  • Sync cookies from the extension to stay logged in

Rover

Runs on your website, for your visitors

  • Types and clicks through your own product to demo it
  • Onboards, troubleshoots, and books from the page
  • Site count is what your tier gates
One thing to be clear about: these are three places the same agent runs, not a relay. A run doesn't hand itself off mid-task from your browser to the cloud — you pick where it runs when you start it.

What each tier gets you

Every tier includes the full platform. What scales is credits and how many websites you can put Rover on.

What a credit actually buys

Credits are cost pass-through, not a made-up currency. One credit is one cent of the inference, enrichment, browser, and bandwidth we pay for on your behalf.

Extension task

0.5 – 5 credits

Runs on your machine, so you're only paying for the model reasoning.

Cloud task

10 – 50 credits

Adds hosted browser time and proxy bandwidth on top of inference.

Enriched record

0.25 credits

Flat, and only charged when a record actually matches. Misses are free.

Estimate your month

Drag to match how you'd actually use it. We'll show whether a Tier 3 allowance covers it.

Typical monthly usage
550
credits — ranges 250 to 1,100 depending on page complexity
Tier 3 monthly allowance1,000

Comfortably inside your monthly allowance — and your 5,000 activation credits are still untouched on top.

LLM inference
0.1–5 credits / action

Scales with page complexity. Bring your own key and this drops to zero.

Dataset enrichment
0.25 credits / record

Only successfully matched records are billed. Misses and discovery are free.

Cloud browser time
~60 credits / browser-hour

$0.60/hr, and a typical task only uses 0.5–1.5 credits of it. Cloud runs only — extension tasks use your own machine.

Proxy bandwidth
500 credits / GB

$5/GB — roughly 0.1 credits for a typical page. Cloud only; bring your own proxy or pick 'No proxy' for public sites.

Want your credits to last much longer? Bring your own LLM key. Connect any model provider and inference stops drawing credits entirely — you only spend on the parts we host. BYOK for the agent is in every tier; BYOK for Rover unlocks at Tier 2.

What people actually build with it

If it can be done in a browser, it can be automated. These are the workflows Sumo-lings start with.

Extension + Cloud

Build and enrich a lead list

Pull attendees off an event page or a directory, match them to LinkedIn profiles and verified emails, then score them against your ICP — all into a Google Sheet.

See how
Extension + Cloud

Scrape any site without a scraper

Describe the columns you want. Retriever reads the page structure instead of guessing from a screenshot, so it doesn't invent rows that were never there.

See how
Cloud

Watch pages for changes

Competitor pricing, job boards, inventory, policy pages. Schedule it in the cloud and get pinged when something moves.

See how
Extension

Fill forms and applications

Feed it a sheet of rows and let it work through portals, intake forms, and applications in your logged-in browser.

See how
Rover

Put an agent on your site

Rover doesn't just answer — it drives your product for the visitor, walking them through setup or reproducing the bug they're stuck on.

See how
API / MCP

Trigger it from anywhere

Hosted MCP server, REST API, WhatsApp, n8n, or Zapier. Kick off a run from Claude or Codex and stream the cloud browser back into your app.

Why it doesn't invent data

Most AI agents screenshot the page and guess where to click. Retriever reads the page the way it's actually built.

Structure, not pixels

A text representation of the live DOM captures every action and value on the page — so rows come back because they were there, not because a model thought they were.

Your own session

Extension runs use the browser you're already signed into, one tab at a time, without the automation permissions that get accounts flagged.

Cheap enough to run often

Ranked #1 on WebBench ahead of OpenAI's and Anthropic's agents, at roughly a hundredth of the cost per task.

Questions Sumo-lings actually asked

Straight from the deal page Q&A. Don't see yours? Ask it on AppSumo — we answer daily.

Credits & billing

What's a credit, and what does each action cost?
One credit is one cent of underlying cost. Credits cover four things: LLM inference, dataset enrichment, cloud browser hosting, and proxy bandwidth. An agentic extension task runs 0.5–5 credits, a cloud task runs 10–50 credits (it carries browser hosting and proxy cost on top of inference), and enrichment is a flat 0.25 credits per successfully enriched record.
Give me a real example — what does 100 enriched leads cost?
25 credits. Enrichment is 0.25 credits per successfully enriched record, so 100 records is 25 credits, well inside even a Tier 1 monthly allowance of 250. On the cloud side, browser time is about 60 credits per browser-hour ($0.60/hr) — a typical task uses 0.5–1.5 credits of it — and proxy bandwidth is 500 credits per GB ($5/GB), which works out to roughly 0.1 credits for a typical page.
Are activation credits used before monthly credits?
Yes. Your one-time activation credits are spent first, then your monthly allowance. The monthly credits start accruing right away — they aren't held back until month two.
Do unused monthly credits roll over?
Your monthly allowance resets each billing month. Activation credits are a separate one-time bucket that sits there until you use it.
What is BYOK?
Bring Your Own Key. Connect your own LLM API key or sign in with your model provider and you stop spending credits on inference — you only pay us for the parts we actually host. Any model works. BYOK for Rover unlocks at Tier 2.
Can I stack codes or upgrade later?
Upgrades and downgrades run through AppSumo and take effect on your Retriever account immediately. Buying two Tier 1 codes gives you two Tier 1 licenses, not a Tier 2 — use the 'Enhance tier' flow in your AppSumo account to move up instead.

What's included

What's the difference between Extension, Cloud, and Rover?
Extension runs tasks inside your real, logged-in browser. Cloud runs jobs remotely or on a schedule while your computer is off. Rover puts the same action-taking agent on your website for your visitors. One platform, three places it can run — there's no mid-run handoff between them.
Do I need a website to get value from this?
No. Rover is one capability of the platform. The extension and the cloud work completely standalone, and most buyers start there.
Do I need to know how to code?
No. Describe the outcome you want in plain English and Retriever builds and runs the web task. The API and MCP server are there for advanced use, not required.
Can I run it across multiple Chrome profiles at once?
Yes. Multiple profiles can run simultaneously on one machine, and each can be triggered from the cloud dashboard.
Can the MCP server run without my computer on?
Yes. The MCP server exposes both your browser extension installs and the cloud browser platform through the /agent API, so a Claude Code routine can trigger a cloud run with your machine off. Sync your cookies from the extension first and those cloud browsers come up already authenticated.
Chrome only, or other browsers?
Any Chromium browser — Chrome, Edge, Arc, Comet, Dia — plus Firefox.

Safety & data

Is my LinkedIn account safe?
We've been running LinkedIn automation for over a year without a detection or a ban. Automation happens inside your regular local browsing session, one tab at a time, and doesn't use the commonly-flagged permissions like CDP — it behaves like you browsing in an AI browser such as Comet or Atlas. Stay within LinkedIn's own rate limits and you're operating the same way a person would.
How do I automate logged-in sites in the cloud?
The extension's settings dropdown has a cookie sync option. Turn it on and cloud browsers will already be signed in to those sites when they spin up.
Do you store the data I scrape?
Extracted data is written to your own Google Sheet. We can't read your Sheets unless you explicitly grant access to a specific one.
Where does enrichment data come from?
A mix of web search and licensed dataset providers covering LinkedIn, Zillow, and Indeed. You can search by title and geography — say, senior directors in Spain — and get back the profile, a verified email, and a bio. Enrichment runs against the datasets directly, so it never has to open LinkedIn tabs in your browser.

Getting set up

How do I redeem my code?
Buy on AppSumo, click through to Retriever, and sign in with Google or an email magic link. Your tier's credits land on the account you sign in with. You can redeem again any time from your AppSumo account page.
I can't log in.
You get a magic link to sign in by email — check your spam folder first. If it still doesn't arrive, email support@rtrvr.ai and we'll sort it out.
Which account gets the credits?
Whichever email you sign in with during activation. If you activated on the wrong account, email support and we'll move the license.

Put your browser work on autopilot

Lifetime access to the extension, cloud browsers, enrichment datasets, API and MCP, scheduled runs, and the Rover website agent. Five products in six months, bootstrapped — and we ship weekly.
