GOOGLE MEET / GOOGLE SHEETS

Keep the useful parts of your Meet chat.

Ask Retriever AI to collect the chat from your Google Meet call and organize it in Google Sheets. Names, timestamps, messages, LinkedIn URLs, emails, and other social links get their own columns.

Free, powered by ads. See plans.

Blue and green mosaic fragments settling into rows, with the words “from chat to sheet.”
A sheet you can use for follow-ups.

BEFORE YOU START

Keep the chat open.

Start while the chat is still available in your browser. This workflow reads chat messages, so you do not need a meeting transcript or recording.

A sheet you can use for follow-ups.

  • Names and timestamps beside the original messages
  • Emails and LinkedIn URLs in separate columns
  • Other shared links kept with the person who posted them

01

Open the chat while you have it

Use the Chrome profile with your Google Meet call. Keep the chat panel available so Retriever can read the messages your session can access.

02

Ask for the columns you need

Paste the prompt below. Connect Google Drive when prompted so Retriever can create or update your Google Sheet.

03

Check the sheet and follow up

Open the returned sheet. Compare a few rows with the chat, check the extracted links, and use the details people shared for your follow-ups.

COPY A START

Use a prompt. Make it yours.

Replace the examples with your pages, rules, and approval point. rtrvr will work from the request you give it.

QUICK START

Extract the messages available in the chat of my open Google Meet call. Create a Google Sheet with columns for Name, Timestamp, Message, LinkedIn URL, Email, and Other social links. Keep the original message text, put links and emails in their own columns, and leave missing details blank. Keep each message as a separate row. Return the sheet link and tell me if any part of the chat could not be read.

MORE SPECIFIC

From this Google Meet chat sheet: [sheet URL], make a second tab with one row per person for follow-ups. Include the name, shared LinkedIn URL, shared email, other shared links, and the relevant original messages. Flag ambiguous names or conflicting details instead of merging them. Do not look up additional contact information or send messages.

THE RECORDING

See the actual run.

The November 2 demo shows a Google Meet chat becoming a Google Sheet with names, timestamps, messages, and separate contact columns.

Google Meet chat to Google Sheets in one prompt

Watch the chat become a sheet with names, messages, and contact details in separate columns.

A few useful details.

Does this transcribe the call?

No. This demo extracts the written chat. It does not turn the meeting’s audio into a transcript.

Can it recover chat after a meeting has ended?

This workflow collects messages your browser session can still access. It does not recover messages that are no longer available. Run it while the chat is open.

Where do the contact details come from?

From the messages people shared in the chat. The prompt separates those emails and links into columns and leaves missing details blank.

Try it with your own call.
